Point C

The concrete vision for your next destination on your journey towards your big goal

Point C

Launching Point C: A New Chapter

Today, I’m sharing something that’s been brewing for a long time. I’m launching a new company called Point C — and I couldn’t be more excited to finally tell you about it.

For over a decade, I’ve been helping leaders clarify their strategic vision, build cultures of innovation, and pitch their ventures and projects for buy-in, funding, and resources. Now, I’m focusing my energy on that work more intentionally — building a company dedicated to helping leaders define, communicate, and move toward their Point C.

What's Point C?

It’s the concrete vision for your next destination on the journey to your bigger goal.

You started at Point A. Now you’re at Point B. To reach your big goal, you don't just need to paint a picture of the long-term vision (Point Z) — you need to sell Point C: the concrete, vivid destination you will take yourself, your team, and your company to over the next 12-18 months.

In my experience, this is the key to unlocking the confidence, buy-in, and resources to pursue your big goal. It’s not just about thinking big — it’s about clearly defining the hypotheses that need to be tested, the key risks that need to be reduced, and the key next steps to getting there.

As a strategic advisor, executive coach, and occasional secret weapon, I help founders, CEOs, and executives clarify their visions, lead cultures of innovation, and navigate their next leadership chapters.

But more importantly, I create real-world learning experiences that help leaders develop the mindsets, strategies, and momentum they need to unlock their full potential — and build extraordinary lives.

I don’t just want to help leaders prepare for their next Point C — I want to equip them to lead others in doing the same. Because leadership is a craft — something you build and refine through intentional practice.

I’ve had the privilege of going on this journey with many leaders like you. Read about the impact I've had on them here.

Why I'm Building Point C

I believe that leaders are leverage — investing in leadership is the most powerful way to create the change you want to see in the world. That’s why I’m focusing my time and energy on creating moments of impact that help leaders build extraordinary lives, organizations, and cultures.

Since 2019, I’ve been focused on leadership development and coaching through running the Sulzberger Executive Leadership Program at Columbia Journalism School and managing my portfolio of investments through Matter Fund I & II.

That’s not changing — in fact, applications for the next Sulzberger class are opening soon. I’m also still managing my VC funds through Matter.

But launching Point C marks a new, more intentional chapter for me. Instead of reactively taking on coaching and training requests, I’m proactively building a company around the work I love most: helping leaders clarify their strategies and build subcultures of innovation that last.

What I’m Offering

Point C is more than just a coaching practice — it’s a strategic advisory focused on helping leaders build extraordinary lives and lead cultures of innovation. Here’s how I’m focusing my energy:

1. One-on-One Coaching

The foundation of Point C is regular one-on-one coaching with founders, CEOs, and executives who want to clarify their strategic vision, build a culture of innovation, and create momentum toward their next big goal.

From there, I reserve time in my schedule for my regular coaching clients to pull me deeper into their organizations, whether it’s running a bootcamp, facilitating a strategic retreat, or evaluating their culture for its ability to innovate.

With Sulzberger 2025 wrapping up in a few weeks, I am opening up my limited calendar to new clients. If you’re considering coaching — or know someone who would benefit — read more about my approach here and reach out soon. My calendar fills up quickly.

I’ve had the privilege of working with some incredible leaders over the years. Hear what they say about partnering with me:

2. Point C Training Camp (aka Venture Design Bootcamp)

This is the foundational week-long experience that has launched every Matter and Sulzberger cohort — and now it’s available for your organization.

Over the course of a week, your teams will build a new venture from scratch, gaining the foundational processes, frameworks, and mindsets to build a culture of innovation internally. It is a perfect way to train your leaders in innovation, re-set a culture for experimentation, and/or kick-off a program to accelerate internal strategic initiatives. In my experience, experiential learning is the key to unlocking the innovation capacity in professionals.

Reach out if you want to bring the Point C Training Camp to your organization or explore my other services and plans here.

3. The Idea Bucket Newsletter

Not everyone can work with me through coaching or facilitation. That’s why I’m creating a scalable resource: The Idea Bucket

It's a weekly newsletter and growing archive where each post will feature one visual framework, supporting one act of leadership, that brings you one step closer to building a culture of innovation.

I’m building this in public — sharing the tools and frameworks I use every day with coaching clients. My goal is to help my clients strengthen their innovation leadership and equip them with tools to help their teammates become leaders, too.

Subscribe now to get the first post — and join me as I build this resource in public. Who knows — this might be the first step toward that book my clients have been encouraging me to write.

Defining My Point C

Since I’m always encouraging leaders to define their own Point C, it’s only fair I do the same.

My Point C is to build this company into a thriving coaching practice within the next year — grounded in strong, long-term client relationships and a structured approach that supports both regular coaching and deeper client work.

To reach this next destination, I’m focusing on three concrete goals:

  1. Deliver A Consistent, Immersive Coaching Experience:
My goal is to work deeply with 24 leaders as their strategic advisor and coach on their most important strategies, their leadership, and their culture. We'll meet for one-on-one coaching sessions twice a month to maintain momentum. To create space for immersive work, I’ll structure my time with a week-on/week-off cadence: every other week, I’ll keep my schedule open to support clients with deeper engagements — from facilitating strategic retreats and board meetings to running week-long bootcamps or building internal accelerator programs. This structure allows for both consistency and depth, helping clients build momentum while enabling me to dive into critical projects when needed. I’ll also ensure my client base remains diversified across media, tech, and entrepreneurship.
  2. Build a Scalable, Accessible Resource with The Idea Bucket:
I’ll write and publish one post per week as part of The Idea Bucket, creating a practical archive of leadership frameworks. This resource will not only support my clients as they build their own subcultures but also providing tools to those who aren’t able to work with me directly. My goal is to empower clients to develop leaders within their own teams. By the end of the year, I’ll assess whether this project has the potential to grow into a larger creative pursuit.
  3. Enhance the Sulzberger Experience:
Point C will complement and enhance my work with the Sulzberger Executive Leadership Program. By developing new resources through The Idea Bucket and engaging with a diverse range of leaders, I’ll bring fresh insights, tools, and practical frameworks to the program — ultimately strengthening the experience for Sulzberger Fellows.

That’s my Point C: A thriving, sustainable coaching practice that balances long-term client relationships with deeper, immersive engagements — helping leaders build momentum and make strategic progress. This will set the stage for establishing Point C as the go-to strategic advisory firm for leaders focused on building cultures of innovation.
